Yes. The first version contained that ugly blasphemy against God, which the American Bishops had refused for so long to change. But there are so many other areas in which they refuse to comply with the orders of the Holy Father. You should see his General Instruction of the Roman Missal or GIRM. The Novus Ordo Mass, though (usually) valid, is a devastation, not only of the traditional rite of the Church, but a hard slap in the face of the Holy Father and his General Instructions. The Americans were NOT given permission to make the wacky, liberal, ungodly changes that pervade the new Mass. You might want to check out these links:

http://www.unavoce.org/articles/2001/reflections_on_liturgical_reform.html
http://www.stjosephschurch.net/romanrite.htm

(An excerpt from the last link):
We must remember that it was this same council (Vatican II) which declared, "The use of the Latin language...is to be preserved in the Latin rites." The result of the so-called reforms of Vatican II quickly became obvious. Latin was abandoned almost universally. In the name of this renewal, statues, crucifixes, Communion rails, and kneelers were taken out of the churches. The inspiring images of the saints, our Lord, and our Blessed Mother, once thought to move us to a deeper devotion, were now seen as distractions. The Blessed Sacrament, once occupying the central location in churches everywhere, was relegated to a side altar, or even a separate chapel. Without any decree from the Second Vatican Council or papal authority, altars were turned around, allowing the priest to face the congregation. Most serious of all, the Traditional Roman rite, a rite of Mass dating back at least 1,500 years, and which was the result of slow, organic growth, was abandoned in favor of the Novus Ordo Missae, a rite which was thrown together rather quickly by a committee. This was an unprecedented act in the History of the Church. We never see an entirely new Mass being imposed upon the people by a pope following a council, as was the case with Pope Paul VI following Vatican II.

How can a state-of-mind have "rights" let alone exercise rights?

I don't disagree with you, but you can say the same thing about religious belief. How can a theist have rights or exercise rights, when being a theist is nothing other than a "state-of-mind, a behavior, and an inclination to behavior."

?Considering that it is a choice, the evil in my mind is in fact in their "gayness". It is the equivalent of saying the murderer isn't to blame, it is in his "murderous" nature."

MY GOSH! How many times do I have to repeat this. SOME HETEROSEXUAL MEN RAPE WOMEN. SHOULD ALL HETEROSEXUAL MEN THEREFORE BE PUT BEHIND BARS? Just because most of the guys who have been committing these horrible crimes are gay priests does not mean that all gay priests, or all gay men for that matter, are evil. The scumbuckets who have used the RC priesthood to victimize others for their own sexual gratification are clearly evil. And the bishops who have allowed these clearly non-catholic new-age homo-Hugh Hefners have their way with the local boys have to answer to their local DA. No QUESTION! But don't blame this on homosexuality. Blame it on dishonesty, corruption & collusion. If these "priests" & their ennabler bishops are Roman Catholic, I'm Brintney Spears.

"If a stock broker violates the laws of his profession, he loses his NASD licensing. If a man drives a car while intoxicated and causes a death, he loses his license. If a citizen in New York City is caught with carrying a gun without a permit, he does a year in jail and can not get a license for carrying a gun in the future. If Bill Clinton perjores himself, he should have lost his lawyer's license, and in fact he did. If a man commits a felony, he loses his rights as a citizen. Now you can more clearly discuss my logic."

Yes.I will repeat my point (sigh). If a stockbroker, driver, hunter-gun owner, lawyer or anyone else abuses their position& breaks the law, they should most definitely be PROSECUTED & PUNISHED. But what it does NOT mean is that ALL stockbrokers, drivers, hunter.gun-owners, lawyers, etc should have to bear the guilt for their confreres' misdeeds. My goodness, how hard is this to understand?

Let us face it folks, homosexual males and male pedophiles are far superior to any female wanting to serve as a priest. Jesus , Mary and Joseph and saints preserve us if some kind, educated and committed Catholic female had "the calling" for the pristhood. The wealthy princelings, bishops and vatican would feel threatened. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutley. The circle of power is corrupt. It has been corrupt for years. The future of the church will depend on how the male princelings handle the audits and the investigation all women Catholics should demand. No man should be able to introduce a perverted chickenhawk into a parish to corrupt a beloved son.

Sad the church seems over run by the homosexual culture and their liberal friends. If the attiude of the bishops is gay is ok, then show them it's no vote with your feet. It's sad to see the death of a great church but if they have forsaken the gospel then let them stand with the other so called main line churchs on the house in the sand.
