LOL. Reminds me of a story. True. Family dinner. My Dad, a college chemistry professor. My saintly little Grandmother (Mom's Mom) who never finished high school. Conversation turns to the flu. Grandmother is telling us how she always "put a little Turpentine on her tongue to keep from catchin' the flu." Father announces in his best college prof's voice, "it is a proven scientific fact that there is no medicinal properties in Turpentine." Silence for a spell. Then the soft lttle voice of Grandmother, "Well, I ain't never had the flu."

LMaO! I can't tell you most of my grandmother stories! She had to be the most colorful person I have ever known. Straight as an arrow but she said things in simple words...the best way she knew how.....EXACTLY like it is! LOL! That was my dad's mom. My mom's mom was very, very proper and dressed to the 9's. She was originally from Norway and she loved to travel. She would take off and be gone on trips all over the world, all by herself.

Grandmothers are simply the best! :)
