You're right, the word "power" is used by Edwards as "like", "you know", etc., is used by teenyboppers. Without it his speeches would be half as long yet just as boring.

Over eager Edwards sez:

We cannot forget little Vallerie Lakey and the terrible tragedy she suffered and will have to struggle with all her life, John. We also can't forget the lawyer who represented her, and was so lacking in compassion that instead of working probono and allowing the poor victem to recieve the entire award, shamelessly stepped up with his hands out and demanded his share. We can't forget you Johh, but we wish to God you would just go away, so we could try.
