Don't talk like that, the very thought of someone being put to death by the state makes these slugs orgasmic.
If you hate cops as much as I think you do, I would have written you up for 75, seized your car and said prove me wrong in court.
2. I would have to say yes, Libertarian philosophy would allow the new landlord to evict month-to-month renters as he saw fit.
Not merely "allow." Libertarian doctrine holds that Bob Bigot has the right to invoke the power of the state to enforce his "property" rights. The judge would have a duty to sign the eviction order, the police or sheriff's deputies would use the force necessary to serve Bob's interests.
Libertarians do believe in intervention from the state.
Libertarianism sanctions the intervention of the state to enforce the landlord's decision to engage in racial discrimination with respect to the apartments. Your earlier assertion that "Libertarians generally believe in non-intervention from the state when it comes to hiring, housing, and a whole host of other areas" is false.
May I add that to the quotes on my profile page?
Deceit, falsehoods, treachery and boneheadedness were all part of TJ's makeup. The more I learn about his role during the 1790s while a member of Washington's administration and after, the less respect I have for the man. His role in the destruction of Alexander Hamilton (a man his superior in every way) is a tale of ideology and political Machiavellianism writ large. We can only thank God he was out of the country when the constitution was written and ratified for he would have most certainly opposed it and probably defeated it in Virginia.
His presidency was an unmitigated disaster graced only by the fact that France threw Louisiana in our lap much to his surprise. He was so dense constitutionally that he didn't believe the federal government could legally acquire it. And was so economically and historically out of it that he believed gaining that territory meant the U.S. would remain agricultural for the next thousand years. His whole view of society and cities was completely insane and would have condemned the nation to weakness and imbicility had it been implemented. His poisonous views led to the treason of the Civil War and the destruction that wrought.
When it comes to airheaded ideas, rejection of authority, weakening the nation and lack of practical understanding of human nature Jefferson was a perfect libertarian.
