Senile dementia--too many little strokes all equal one big confusion. The man is simply babbling most of the time!!!

It is really hard to keep quiet. One time he and a customer were talking about poor Tommy Daschle, how mean the Republicans were to him. I literally had to hold my hand over my mouth because I thought I was going to have a stroke. One time we were talking about Hitlery and I told him I was pretty sure she was the Anti Christ, he wouldn't speak to me for several days. He thinks she is a "nice lady." The worst part is, I have to share an office with him. The horror, the horror!

Nord, that was a wonderful story! If you click on my name, or on A Citizen Reporter's name, you can see we have bookmarked the Bush/Cheney Victory Tour threads. I don't think you were here then.

The press started blacking out coverage of the Bush camapign after Gore was officially nominated. We started those threads so that people could find out what was going on in the campaign, how big the crowds were, etc. We had people from all over the country who posted accounts about seeing the President (then a candidate). We even had a wonderful wire-service reporter who would send us photos.

Most of the photos on the threads are gone, but the personal accounts are still there. When you have time you might enjoy reading them.

THIS is why we MUST win the Senate! JUDGES!!

That and we also need to work for our Representatives to keep control of Congress and work just as hard for Governors.. That's a very important position because with all those old codgers up there, one could pass on at any time and the Governor gets to select the new Congressman or Senator. A Governor can change the dynamics of the Senate and Congress, just like Jeffords did. Everyone needs to get out and volunteer to help in all these areas.

Gosh, what if I talked to you, and we didn't even know it??? There were sooo many nice people there. Do you remember that one corner with the Gore people??? We sure drown them out! (in numbers AND in voice)

OK, I've turned off Geraldo, went to CNN, where they just "identified" one of the militants being brought out on a stretcher by the name of "jihad". I'm done with the "live" reporting......they are hopelessly inept!

Oops, my figure of speech brought confusion. I meant that your report was so real that I felt as if I were there, as I read it. You did an excellent job of bringing the moment to life! I wish I had been there!

My sister cannot believe that I will not watch "West Wing" and that I loathe Martin Sheen. Ha!

Don't even get me started on her voting for Gore. We had a very strained Thanksgiving in 2000, let me tell you! No one would talk about anything! And when they found out my husband and I went to the State Capital and stood out in front in the rain with "Sore Loserman" signs, they KNEW not to bring politics up at Christmas. LOL!

LOL! I don't have the TV on. I was going to go to bed when I saw that this might be breaking. Now I am glad I have been here instead of watching.

Are you telling me the reporter identified someone as Mr. Jihad? HAHAHAHA!!

This has to do with the man, not his celebrity. I saw President Nixon when I was a young Air Force wife in Berlin. People were happy to see him, butdid not have the reaction like you had. Yours is not an uncommon reaction, by the way.

Hmmm. Something to think on.
