..Wellll, there seem to be a lot of "city" folks moving to this rural town to get away from the city. They moved in next door to the cows, sheep, and pigs and now they (city folks) don't like the smell..

This is just the situation here. Folks find the cost of living too high in SF, so they pour over the mountains and come here. Cement over "prime ag land", build houses and then they want it to smell like the ocean. Well, it won't, but in the meantime, they are putting a lot of farmers out and the land can never return to agriculture.

It makes you wonder where we will get our food from if they keep building on the farm land. I couldn't believe all of the building going on in my mom and dad's community. The farm land is quickly becoming subdivisions. It really made me sad. I have a great respect for farmers and ranchers.
