You claim that the French hated the Jews, in the 1930's because they were Trotskyites. The French have ALWAYS been anti-Semitic. They have also, as a nation and as a government , HATED any nonCatholic. Heck, the've even hated some French Catholics ; but, that's besides the point. Look at the expolsion of ALL of French Jewry, in the 13th century, the Dryfuss Affair, the St. Bartholimew ( sp ? ) Massacre, what haened to the Cathars, and even Mata Hari ! These paltry few examples prove MY point, far better, than your claim of " Trotskyite " lovers. Most European countries have a very long history of anti-Semitism. As you say, why be ashamed of it / why claim it false, when it is so easily proven to be factual ?

The conflict has been simmering and the breaking out in violence for centuries. It blew up after the Russian revolution. Early writings such as this, 1917, a reign of terror unleashed in Hungary by Bela Kun and the second communist government in history followed by genocide in the Ukraine terrified Europe. The Christian establishment was threatened. Vichy France was, partly, a reaction to the horrors of communism. America shares blame here too. Wilson screwed up WWI and the peace. The establishment was so weakened, fascists and communists (they worked together in the early days) were able to bring down the German Republic.
