"If in fact that Sharon and Bush have been on the same page all along and were giving Arafat the rope he needs to hang himself, then the plan worked. If, on the other hand, everything is as it appears and the Administration's equivocatuion and appeasement to the Arab world hasn't been for show, then Sharon just told us where we can stick our "peace" plan.
....And God bless him for doing so."
Amen.

Now you're just reaching for a reason to be bloodthirsty. Calm down and think about what your asking for and what you'tre suggesting. Earlier you mentioned Hitler; I hate to tell you friend, but what you're suggesting comes out of his playbook.

"He who works to kill us (Arafat) we will rise up and kill him first!" Woa!!! That's as strong as it gets!!! Arafat is a DEAD MAN!! WOO WOO!!!!!!!
Sure hope so. This is EXTREMELY STRONG rhetoric. Could signal a revised strategy -- message to Powel: Thank you for your help so far. You may leave now.

Hezbollah (Trans: Army of God) is a Lebaneese group that dominates the area of southern Lebanon. They are mostly disinterested by what goes on outside of Lebanon, but occasionally let their hatred of Israel run wild and launch a few rockets at the Jewish sectors of Jerusalem.

Did anyone else wonder what Sharon meant by saying Israel will not be blackmailed for peace? Was he referring to US monetary aid and basically telling us to stick it? Could the US possibly have threatened holding back funds if Sharon didn't go along with a peace plan? Just a thought. Would be curious to know what you all think Sharon meant.

Exactly, What do you think Sharon and Bush were doing in their 5 meetings at the White house? Lighting a Manora?(sp) Breking Bread and trashing Tom Daschle?. Nope they were giving Arafat enough rope to hang himself, and he did

Then there is absolutely no reason why the US, Israel or the UN should recognize Arafat as the leader of Palestine, attempt to negotiate with him in anyway or give him any respect.

When you sober up in the morning read your quotes. You'll most likely be ashamed and embarrassed.
To: Partisan Hack
That depends on what President Bush has to say tomorrow.

To me it was obvious. President Bush met with Sharon too many times for the two of them not to have planned this whole thing out. The two of them knew what Arafat would do, but for the consumption of the rest of the world they had to make an honest effort to broker peace. NOW the chances of that is OVER. I have been saying this for weeks. Arafat's days are numbered I couldn't agree more.

What if Bush and Sharon planned this. What if Bush knows the Saudis are wishy washy, and he doesn't trust Qatar enough to base our stratcom for a war against Iraq out of there? What if they gave Arafat all the rope he needed to hang himself, and when Israel attacks, he'll say,"Well, we said we won't let Israel be destroyed." Then we base a lot of our military in Israel, which prevents our wishy washy allies from getting any ideas of attacking Israel, gives us a secure location to base our stratcom from, and gives us a way to attack Iraq from Israel, Turkey & the former Soviet Republics. Just a thought.
You just knew that Arafat couldn't help himself, didn't you?
He knew, he had to know, when Bush was going to be meeting with Sharon. So he sends one of the lemmings out to blow the lives out of 15 kids just to make a point.
Hamas? Hamas is merely being used as a front by Arafat. They provide deniability, while providing services for Yasir. We know this.
We gave Yasir his chance. Game Over.
But this will be a tough go. This means that the IDF will have to go into Gaza. Gaza has been prepared for a defense i depth, complete with tank traps and interlocking fields of fire. The Merkava's will have to go in buttoned up, and this time, don't send in rusty reservists so they can get killed one or two squads at a time, fellas!
Watch for an Israeli seaborne landing on the Gaza coast. This should prove interesting.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

He controls a large faction, which makes him a possible contact for the peace process. Unfortunately, Arafat is a coward, a liar, and an albatross around the neck of his people. He is a terrible leader and is not in any position to negotiate for lasting peace.
To: MJY1288
I'm sorry MJI; what depends on what Bush has to say tomorrow? Thanks.

Did anyone else wonder what Sharon meant by saying Israel will not be blackmailed for peace? Was he referring to US monetary aid and basically telling us to stick it?I think he was referring to the EU and their threats to use economic sanctions against Israel.
