A few hundred or few thousand in a parade or vigil after 9/11 is NOT asking too much to show solidarity with their adopted country. And it's not clerics fumbling for words; apart from 2 clericsm none unequivocally condemned 9/11. It was alway 'but' or 'unjustified violence against 'innocents' or some such mealymouthedweaselwords.

Wait Wait Wait... The second part I agree on. I have a much stronger opinion than I maybe expressed in my first statement about the clerics fumbling with their words. You are in right in the fact that none slammed Islamic extremism.

But you want to talk about solidarity? I know Muslims that were out on the streets carrying candles in the days after 9/11. How can you say solidarity when you are asking Muslims to organize and all Muslim demonstration against 9/11? Where is the solidarity with the American people in that? You have it wrong and backwards. Muslims did it right in being part of America on day.. on that day there wasn't black or white, muslim or christian, gangster or nerd.. everyone was out on the street for one reason... solidarity.
