Muslims Should Concentrate in One State
By Akhtar H. Emon
Based on the strategy of the Mormons who are mostly concentrated in Utah, American Muslims could pick one state out of the fifty US states where they could settle and win representation in the Senate with two seats and also claim Congressional seats and offices of the Governor, Mayor, and local government. The estimated population of Muslims in America in 2002 is close to 8 million. It may take an approximate one million Muslim Americans to migrate to a state such as Wyoming, Montana, Delaware, Vermont, Dakotas, or Alaska to make a significant difference. These states have a small population base, and a million Muslims moving in these states could help bring about a demographic change in favor of Muslims and their political influence.
Migration of one million Muslims out of a total population of 8 million represents an overall 12% impact, which is quite manageable. After the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947, Muslims migrated in numbers much larger than one million.
It will need the Muslims to have a higher clout to make a difference in the US foreign policy and curb the human rights violations in the Middle East. But migration (Hijra) of one million American Muslims would be a struggle for a higher cause rather than a manipulative step to serve self-interests.

Is there a Provincetown perhaps that I'm thinking of instead of Providence? At my age, my memory takes off in strange directions! I bet it was Provincetown in MA????
To: rageaholic
Yes, my thoughts exactly.

"Islam existing over 1000's of years? " 1400 years more or less.

There is a Provincetown in Mass.; it's on the tip of Cape Cod. I went there once as a teenager (a while back!) and at the time it was sort of an artsy community. I believe now it is somewhat of a gay community, at least that's what I've heard.

We should throw all of em out of the country.

Explain to me Turkey? They are certainly secular states out there and certain countries that are responsible within the confines of Islam. Are most wacked out beyond hope? I don't think I ever argued that most of the them are really rightous.. if you got that I'm sorry. But your unabashed critisim of a religion without looking at our own in the past is a mistake. As I clearly argued to you a religion can be hijacked my moronic rulers and leaders. I think this is the case with Islam.
To: Almondjoy
Islam is not hijacked. THe murderous part of it is part and parcel of its raison d'etre. Since the radicals are ascendant now, the threat to us is urgent and real. No doubt there were lukewarm Nazis. But we couldn't really worry about the distinction in wartime. We have to take their threats seriously; they have shown what types of operations they are capable of. If we don't root it out and exterminate it, there will no moderate islam or anything else left. The moderates will not fight our battles for us. We have to do that ourselves.
To: DBtoo
Yes, that's the one I meant, not Providence, RI. Sorry.
To: swarthyguy
I'm not sure if we are even disagreeing anymore.. you keep repeating what I'm saying or at least you take the same tone to Islam that I do. You say it's not hijacked but then you say we must do what the moderates will not.. which is in every meaning of the word.. hijacked. If the moderates do not hold the militant stance the radicals do but at the same thing do nothing to stop it means that they feel conflicted against what people are telling them their religion is suppose to be and what they really feel that in it's own right is hijacked. These radicals have caused confusion in their own ranks. Chop off the head and the masses will follow a more tame version of Islam in a second... does that mean we have to nuke Mecca and Medina.. maybe.. i don't know the answer to that yet.
To: Almondjoy
The moderates are irrelevant for a variety of reasons. Small numbers, no guts, etc. Anyway, agreed, truce. Regards
To: medlarebil
The Constitution guarantees separation of church and state, so I wouldn't worry too much. Since when have the courts paid attention to the constitution.

we already have one mosqueWe do? In Anchorage I bet. Well my vote (not that I really get one) is that they all go back to the mideast and leave America to the Americans!

It is the moderates who support the radicals by not rising up against them. They all go to the same mosques on Fridays and they all contribute to them, as "giving alms" is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. They must all give money and more to the Imams, least they be shunned, or worse by the community.
Islam is really more like a mafia than a religion. No one can speak up or speak out against whatever the leaders say without being afraid for their very lives.
To: PayrollOffice
That is exactly what people who throw out the 'moderate' red herring fail to understand. Maybe they do, or are unwilling to admit it or scared of the consequences of confronting the truth.
To: swarthyguy
That is exactly what people who throw out the 'moderate' red herring fail to understand. Sure. Those who speak out against the Muslims end up dead, which is why noone does. The left will bash Christians but not Muslims, which is why you will never see an objet d'art against the Islamic religion as you do with Christianity.
Under the Sharia, Maplethorp wouldn't have lived long enough to die of AIDS.
