It really doesn't matter where B.C. is being sent. It goes to the independence of the presidency. We've had world wars where the previous administration was never consulted (and rightly so). I detest B.C. and absolutely believe he shouldn't have anything more to do with government but even if I didn't I would be against any president consulting previous administrations. It makes the current administration look like it needs training wheels.

Getting sent to East Timor is like being sent to some former Third World leader's funeral somewhere. Clinton is a vainglorious nit to be accepting this assignment to Nowheresville, just as the Press has the sleezeball on the cover of Time (!) and is pimping him like he's the second coming. This is as close to the "action" as that con artist is going to get.; I think it's just short of being a humiliating assignment, personally.
