May 6, 2002 -- President Bush is ready to examine new evidence that PLO leaders are actively engaged in terrorism - but has no plans to try to topple Yasser Arafat, his aides said yesterday.

On the eve of a U.S.-Israel powwow, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice vowed that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon will get an even-handed message from President Bush.

This will be the report which even the Israeli press don't believe, it claims that EU as well as American money has funded Palestinian attacks on Israel, claims that one of the Palstinian officials who worked for seven years with the CIA is was a leader of "terrorism". Dan Naveh, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, who presented this report to journalists in Jerusalem, yesterday, had great difficulty explaining to them, that if Mr Arafat and one of his underlings Tawfiq Tirawi were organisers of terror, how the Israeli Government could have freed them both. Maybe Sharon will offer GWB one of the dozens of British-made Land Rovers taken from the Palestinian Authority by the IDF at the orders of Chief of Staff Shaul Mofaz; and now being fought over by various units within the IDF.
