WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush and top members of his administration mingled and shared laughs Saturday with Washington reporters, insiders and some outsiders -- including famed British rocker Ozzy Osbourne -- at this year's White House Correspondents dinner.
Comedian Drew Carey was on hand to provide the entertainment during the more than three-hour event, doing stand-up comedy for the president and more than 1,800 guests, from top White House adviser Karl Rove to hard rocker turned reality show star Ozzy Osbourne.

As I said this thread is more than just r & r. The article also includes O.O.'s interaction with the President which is of interest to me. I had never seen a picture or the Ork until today. I had seen his name in print, but didn't know who he was or what he did.
As I said already, people keep responding to my comments so I respond.
Oh yes, I also like the challenge of difficult situations, like this thread. It's a sandbox for trying things out.
Gawd, he stood on a chair. Better you would concern yourself over Yasser Arafat that trying to impose your narrow morals on someone else.
No, contemporary c & w is in the same catagory as r & r. I see no diference.
And can someone listen to and enjoy either genre of music without you becoming an overbearing gas bag?

If this is a "difficult situation" you nedd to get out more ... perhaps a job.
You probably won't like what I like. I do believe that real music is an integral and important part of human nature.
Do you insist that the artists who perform your favorite music are chaste and live up to your ideals?
No, that would be impossible. But I'm not going to celebrate or support an entertainer who flouts character flaws.
You're stuttering.
So you are using this to refuse to tell us what kind of music you like. And how do you know what I will like. I was listening to Indonesian gamelan music on the way home from work ... and am about to put on Wanda Landowska harpsicord. I mean how far out is it you're getting here? Or is this a way to avoid the question as I suspect?
Ozzy in each of his shows makes a point of doing anti-drug and alcohol messages and his music is not a part of his program. So please enlighten us as to how he is flauting bad manners et al?
I have a very good job. And I do need to log off. Thanks for the practise.
And can someone listen to ANY kind of music without you becoming an overbearing gas bag?
I doubt it. You avoid every question.
Lol!
Oh I don't know. Pat Boone did have a couple of somewhat catchy tunes I suppose. Hey, you do have 'em packed up and ready to ship, right?
Pat was serious, send 'em back, or he's gonna come over there and kick your ass, then you'll have to change your nick to PBKMAWinger.
No, Pat is not going to get me.
The last guy to physically assult me woke up on the floor of the Chattanooga city jail with a very bad lump on his head. I was packing a concealed weapon at the time and would have been totally justified in blowing him away, but I opted for fighting it out with him. The police reporting on the incident and were on my side. No, the guy wasn't listening to degenerated music.
"CW" in the screen name stands for Concealed Weapon.
