PJ posted, "The spectacle of the DNC publicly involving themselves in this would be a sight to see. I'd love to see the DNC again explain how they aren't the party that defends the indefensible."

It could not happen at a better time. The Rat Senators up for election in Bush States will be very vulnerable. If the DNC does not move to condemn Davis, they will be seen as condoning this criminal behavior (we know that they support criminal behavior in Rats 24/7), they just don't want the sheeple to know that.

Then if other Rat governors have been doing the samething, and again we know that they have. This could end up costing a lot Rat Governors in other states their job as they get coated with the Bravo Sierra from their bro, Gov Davis!

Whoreacle did not just buy business in Kali, they bought it in other states! That is part of their corporate culture as a Rat owned and controlled company.

......San Francisco Chronicle reported that Davis has asked for $1 million each from the California Teachers Association, the Council of Carpenters and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees.

Outrageous. And he does this with no compunction whatsoever.....
Corruption so endemic, the citizenry expect it as a matter of course.

Plumbers? Very Nixonian...

OH, the irony! Plumbers! HaHaHaHaHaHahaha!

I'm still waiting for the first Woodward/Bernstein piece in the Washington Compost. What, exactly, did IL Davis know, and when did he know it...LOL

Good to see 'em in a snit. Maybe this'll get their PC shorts untangled.

Apparently his leaning on the teachers's union is causing a real split. A half way decent guy/teacher bought one of my older fly rods and a couple of reels. He came over to pay for it last week, and he was livid about the demands that Davis has made on the teachers. Apparently Davis has stiffed them on several promises. This guy and his wife who works for one of the schools will probably vote for Simon. They are really torked out about Davis.

Up to now, he backed Davis even more than he backed Clintoon. I asked how many of his peers felt like he did. He said a large % are even more vocal than he is. He said that if his union paid this extortion demand to Davis, he would file a form asking for his share of the money back.

The shredding (in a STATE OFFICE!) sounds ominous to me. Definitely something imoportant to hide. Difficult to stonewall (ala x42) once the evidence becomes public (the blue dress). Wonder if they had enough shredders or if they had to borrow some from Ernst and Young.

Gray has bragged a la Lyndon Johnson that he is aware of every decision in his administration and that nothing happens without his OK. Now he's claiming that he is innocent and knows nothing. Yeah, right. It's time to send ole Gray up the river.

This is surprisingly strong for the Sacramento Bee, and it raises issues like the plastic pipes that will hurt Davis badly, yet which have no direct connection to Oracle and therefore didn't really need to be mentioned. The only possible angle I can see that Davis might like about this is that they might be letting it all hang out now, so it will be "old news" by next November. Even if that were the case, this is a lot more biting than it needed to be for them to pretend "objectivity."

Here is a little research from Yahoo re donations from Enron to Benito Davis:

Riordan spokeswoman Margita Thompson says Maviglio's comments are simply designed to divert attention from at least $117,000 in campaign donations from Enron that Davis has received since 1998.

Here is the link: (Davis received at least $117,000 from Enron)

This data needs to be recycled! Please post it, email and send it to friends and relatives.

"Campaign fund-raising has been the great passion -- indeed, the only passion -- of Gov. Gray Davis' career. From his days in the Assembly until today, he has been a tireless, even obsessive, solicitor of funds who has amazed friends and foes alike with the energy he brings to most politicians' least favorite task, the schmoozing of the rich and powerful.

So when the governor's office and his campaign say that Davis knew nothing about a botched, hurry-up $95 million software contract with Oracle Corp. that led the company's lobbyist to hand over a $25,000 contribution personally to the governor's e-government director five days after the contract was signed, pardon us for being skeptical...

...In short, there's a disturbing pattern of an administration that is more transactional about political money than any in recent memory.

Because the Oracle contract is so nakedly a giveaway that was rewarded so immediately with a political donation delivered to a member of the governor's staff involved in the contract, it needs to be investigated as a possible criminal matter. And because Davis has been so directly involved in micromanaging his administration, that investigation must look into his role.

Attorney General Bill Lockyer is investigating the Oracle contract, but this is a case for the U.S. attorney's office..." - The Sacramento Bee (lead editorial, saturday, May 4, 2002)

Also from the LIBERAL Sacramento Bee, on Friday, May 4, 2002:

You know that Governor "Lowbeam" is in trouble when even the LEFTIES are throwing him overboard!
