In Carroll County, A bomb was found in a rural mailbox near Mount Carroll, where a postal worker was injured around 11 a.m.
The Associated Press reports a postal carrier has been injured after a pipe bomb exploded in a mailbox in rural Morrison this afternoon. The Whiteside Sheriff's Department says another pipe bomb was found in Carroll County and in some Iowa counties today. Officials at Morrison Community Hospital say the postal worker suffered eye and face abrasions and cuts to a shoulder and a thumb. She was treated and released.
In all, explosives have been found in Scott, Cedar, Dubuque, Jones, and Linn County in Iowa; and Whiteside and Carroll in Illinois.
