WASHINGTON -- President Bush joked late Thursday that he would watch a Bill Clinton TV show, well-placed White House sources said.
"I'd check it out," Bush told staffers, according to sources.
When one staffer asked "Will you be a guest?" the president smiled back: "I might, I might."
Few at the White House actually believe the former president will embark on a broadcast career.
"I think Oprah's job is safe," mocked one senior staffer.

Thanks for the post, but it's not nice to cause good people to gag quite so early in the morning!

Nothing like an early morning BARF to get you going! ;-)

Actually, Clinton doing a Jerry Springer-type show would be a perfect fit, and a fairly accurate reflection of a large segment of our society.

If GW by any chance is bulemic, he certainly has found a way to conceal it...

The idea of
The Clinton Show gave me a chuckle at first, but now it's not so funny.
Say he was to actually do it, with premiere in the fall of '03 --- who would he invite as guests?
Democratic political candidates, and Hollywood celebrities to gush over them.
You can see how this could be a powerful campaign tactic. Hours of National TV time, and it doesn't cost the DNC a dime.
If they cast the show as entertainment (like LateNight or Leno) they don't have to supply time for opposing (GOP) views.
If they cast it as a News/Today/Good Morning America-type show, they might be the only thing going during the 60-day pre-election ban...

Actually, Clinton doing a Jerry Springer-type show would be a perfect fit... "Five agencies have refused to endorse the accuracy of Clinton's published DNA profile. This further suggests that the President's DNA may have been altered for privacy and security reasons. With the Star magazine DNA tests taken from OIC documents and the fact that there may have been an altercation, the paternity test could prove to be worthless.
Until the truth behind Clinton's DNA is known, we will never be sure that Danny Williams is or isn't Clinton's love child. The public has a right to know and we will be waiting."

See the thread from yesterday by Peggy Noonan. She thinks the reason it wont happen is because Hillary wont let him.It might be an impediment to her 2004 or 2008 Presidential run.

That is exactly the reason that I advocate MUZZELING the media during election campaign. It is simply free advertisement when Rosie or Jay picks on the republicans. Some Republican lawyer need to craft a language that muzzles the TV and radio during election time, except for paid for commercials. Even the equal access to counter the left becomes too difficult since most of the comedians/actors/TV personalities are leftists.

and one more thing Bill, Your TV show stinks big time.

"I'd check it out," Bush told staffers, according to sources. Of course he's gonna watch. It's his job as chief law enforcement officer to collect evidence.

W was just on TV live and kicking MAJOR Dems' butts. I just love when Bush does that. Clue me in - I am in a cubie without TV, Radio and no sound on my puter. (I am in the Helen Keller Cube!)
