I have to somewhat agree with you on that....the deathbed confession is just a rumor.....some evidence points to it, but some does not and I don't think we can say with confidence he recanted his theory at the end.

No it's not a rumour, it's what is technically known as a pack of lies, depending on the word of a Mrs Denny, the wife of a "pork philanthropist", who to the best evidence available may never have met Darwin in her life.
