Re-read the thread, you skipped a part...see my other reply in this thread...

There is a legitimate concern about how these children will be counseled/brainwashed to deal with this truly traumatic situation. I too was watching live TV when it was interrupted by the initial plane attack and when the next plane hit. I have suffered PTSD with the suicide of my mother at 12 years old. I know that traumatic death affects children in many different ways. I am just worried about the psycological practitioners and how they can do damage in the name of science with these very fragile minds.

Thank you for your clarification. The implication that people who are concerned about severe mental trauma are somehow wimps is still offensive to me however. However I do agree with you that children should not be brainwahsed into forgiving those who murdered thousands.

I had a double whammy...my beloved dad died 3 weeks before 9/11. I am still suffering from severe anxiety (I am also bipolar which does not help matters), but rather than going to a psychiatrist I am using herbal medication. There are days when I just completely shut down, pull the covers over my head and sleep all day. I also developed a bad habit of biting my lips which I am desperately trying to break, hubby says it makes me look like a crack wh*re. My mother is flying to NY in June and wants me to go with her... but I just don't feel that I could handle the trip yet.
