Dear Friends,
Good news - I received the Charleston Daily Mail endorsement on Friday.
We are planning a victory reception for Tuesday evening, May 14th, election
night, in Charleston at the Holiday Inn Charleston House. Final plans will
be forwarded to you later, but will probably be from 8 to 11 PM. I sure
would like to see you there.
By the way, a couple friends informed me this weekend of a web page in
Morgantown that is doing an election poll. It is sponsored by WAJR Radio.
They did not have me listed until today. So, could you go to
www.wajr.com/contests.htm and scrolled down to the US Senate poll and
let them know how you feel about this race. If you want to forward this
email onto your own email list, that would be fine, too.
Thanks for your help.
Jay Wolfe

The radio poll currently has Rockefeller(R) leading Hiram Lewis(R) barely leading Jay Wolfe(R). But, Mr. Wolfe has only been listed for a few days, while the other two have been shown for a month! PLEASE participate in this poll. There are links to all three candidates websites in case you are vacillating between the two Republican candidates. But, IMHO, Jay Wolfe is the man tough enough to take out Rockefeller. "Fight Like a Brave!"

Voted. Jay's at 50% now. Go Jay! Wish I could be in Charleston on the 14th. I think I have a wedding to perform about then. Shucks. Hey, please come over to Mason County. We have the state's largest collection of Republicans. You need to work this area.

Is he a dissident Republican (i.e., pro-gun, pro-freedom, pro-small-government, anti-globalist)?

Also, is this for U.S. Senate?

I imagine the people of WV would sooner close down all their coal mines than defeat a man named Rockefeller. Is Rockefeller's liberal father-in-law, Charles Percy of IL, still living? Is he campaigning for Rockefeller this year?
To: Theodore R.
I pulled up this thread in order to let everyone know that Jay Wolfe has won the GOP primary in W.Va. He will go up against Jay Rockefeller. He won 2 to 1 over his opponent. Congrats Jay! Now let's go to work.
