The headline:
The United Nations, unhappy about the prospect of seeing Israel exhonerated, decides not to investigate Jenin.

This implies that though they wanted to bash Israel they actually intended to do an honest inquiry.
The article is a good read, but I have a hard time believing this.

I think there was some kind of political pressure, probably from the US. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You better believe ther was pressure from the U.S.! Their meddling would deflect the pressure we are putting on Arafat and the rest of the players to end this madness.

The administrion has been taking alot of flack. I hope some of these folks are not so confused about what our intentions are.

Sorry, but the investigation was rigged. Look elsewhere on FR for the 3 members of the investigation team. They were the same ones who found tens of thousands of muslims massacred in xlinton's yugoslav war, which suddenly, when they came to count, they could no longer find.

This was rigged from the getgo to find the Israeli's guilty, no matter what the truth was.
