Joined by gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, President Bush continued his trip on the left coast today as he spoke to a crowd in San Jose, CA regarding compassionate conservatism. Last night, Bush attended a fund raiser for Simon and raised $2.75 million dollars. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yes, I do remember that speech in Poland "Lift up your hearts." (I can't remember the Latin phrase.) It was a beauiful speech.

And my family is divided half-and-half politically, so it was a VERY subdued Thanksgiving. Your family .. I got into an argument with my one sister .. very heated .. by the time we got to education I said they are full of ---- .. then she said well that is what I think so I guess I'm full of ---- .. with that I said I guess so and walked out of the room ..

Take it somewhere else; lord knows there are plenty of other threads to bash Bush on. We're not interested in what you think.

LOL! No, I just got to thinking about the nerve of that loser speaking like he was the big Mideast expert, and all the while he said NOT ONE WORD while Clinton was meeting with Arafat and pressuring Israel to throw in the towel.
I had forgotten about Carter until he opened his big mouth.
But NO ONE is as despised as Clinton. Gore runs a close second.

You mean
this one? LOL! Priceless!
Good thing for Laura the turkey missed....

Clinton not only was soooo smart but he knew in detail about every refugee camp!!! And???? how did that help him? The result was NO PEACE--but continued INTIFADA that Clinton left for Bush. I still don't see what is "smart about Clinton" but so many people seem to think that he is a Mensa candidate.

That speech in Poland was beautiful.
Speaking of speeches, I just bought a little book entitled "Our Mission and Our Moment." It has a picture of W holding up the policeman's badge and it is the full text of his address to Congress on September 20, 2001. It has a timeline of events from 9/11 to 9/20/01.
Here's a bit from the publisher:
President George W. Bush's address to the nation on September 20, 2001 has become one of those speeches that even while you are listening to it, you know will immediately impact the lives of hundreds of millions of people all over the world. Politics bowed to leadership.
I've got goosebumps.

"This may seem strange to say, but in ways I miss those days when this nation was united in a patriotic fervor that I've never experienced in my post-war baby boomer life."
About 4 years ago, I did a little 'video biography' with my Dad, who enlisted in the Navy, at 18 years old, during WWII. In describing those times, he said...."There was a patriotic feeling that I don't think could ever be felt the same way today..."
My Dad passed away in Jan of 2001, and in some respects I am very happy that he didn't have to see this country attacked again. On the other hand, I'm sorry he missed the patriotic fervor that resulted. And I'll live the rest of my life, wishing to know what his thoughts would have been.....

Consider yourself on the list. I think Twyn1 will send it to Mo1 and then she will send it to MtnGrl and then on to you.
Does this work for all involved?

Post 224, Habitat for Hamas.
LOL!!
Note that I have just stolen this phrase completely.
I always thought Carter was an idiot. My first Republican vote was for Ford because I thought voting Republican was safer than voting an idiot into office.

Yada yada yada.........heard it all before.
Boring.
Go away.......you're in the wrong place. I'm sure you have 'friends' elsewhere, but none here.
THIS IS A FABULOUS PRESIDENT!!!!!!

The speech in Poland was one the most uplifting speeches I have ever heard, The people of Poland had to feel proud of their struggle for freedom after that masterpiece
