Mitch McConnell found some more loop holes this past week in CFR and it seems that the NRA and Sierra Club will be able to run ads, without seperate fund raising efforts dedicated to those commercials. But, they will have to change their incorporation to qualify. How complicated that will be, I don't know. But,Sen. McConnell said" I love loopholes!". I think as more and more is discovered about CFR, it will be discovered to be riddled with loopholes and will probably not change much in the way campaigns are run. I still expect the SCOTUS to kill most of it.

The problem is, Bush signing the thing has had some ill effects that will need to be addressed. If anything, Rush has been a lot quicker to criticize Bush for things that he might not have earlier.

Bush did leave an impression he would veto Shays-Meehan, and instead he signed it, albeit there were some mitigating circumstances. I think he could have come out ahead either way.

But this breach will need to be repaired if we are to be very successful this year and in 2004.
