I think she just wanted to keep people from abusing it, cheapening what is a rallying cry, making a bunch of money off tacky t-shirts. That was my impression.

I think it also had something to do with her setting up a foundation to raise money for the victims.

I could be wrong, but that's how I recall it. Kind of like the folks who owned the flag that was raised by the firemen - they wanted to see that the flag did not end up getting auctioned off at e-bay.

No, she most certainly did not. She tried to block cheap, tacky use of the phrase by those who would profit from tragedy, and wants to use any royalties to benefit the 9/11 families.

Royalties go to the Beamer Foundation which as I understand it is a non-profit for charity, not Lisa B's personal account.
