I agree with your points. However, the status of the Palis could at last be resolved, they are currently stateless, not just the ones in the West Bank, but all of the Palis in all of the Arab countries, i.e. Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc. Also, Israel would have a defendable land mass.

Before '67, they were Jordanian. Now they are Israeli for all practical purposes -- all internet addresses are .il, for example, because the only internet access comes from Israeli firms. As untidy as it is, the Palestinians really seem unconcerned with statelessness. In fact, they have more sway (esp. in the UN) without it.
