Thanks for the notice but I don't think I can do that. I go to a very poor, inner-city parish run by Capuchins. By not giving them money will only hurt my pastor and the huge school bills he has to pay. I have let my bishop know how I feel.

Mail in your offering to the parish office and only put a penny in at the weekend Mass you attend.

In any event, a Copper Sunday bump for everyone living in a wretched archdiocese or diocese.

Yeah, I think about the lower-income kids on scholarships at our parish’s school. If enough people withhold their tithe it could easily kick a poor kid or two out of school for the next year.
