Bridget Jones is a whiny fictional character. Better to call it the Whiney ME Generation. I haven't read or watched Bridget Jones -- it doesn't appeal to me at all. A professor who uses a silly fictional character as the basis for a serious study is lazy and bankrupt of original thought.
