Labour's Poll Rating Falling
TV3 told its viewers last Monday that Labour is at 56% support and its popularity has been rising all year. In fact, the TV3 poll found just 37% would vote Labour. Labour's support has been falling all year. Why the discrepancy? The pollsters eliminate the "don't know" voters, and the remaining party votes are scaled up, to add up to 100%.
The TV3 poll's raw data shows the number of "don't know" voters has risen to 29% - an extraordinary phenomenon. The "don't knows" have risen from 14% in February 2000. This is also bad news for National, which didn't get 28% of the vote but just 21% - an all-time low.
Usually in election year the number of "don't knows" falls as the election gets closer. The TV3 poll, far from showing the election is a foregone conclusion, shows it is wide open. Selective reporting can slant the news. (See www.act.org.nz/tv3poll.)
To the right is the NATIONAL Party (www.national.org.nz), which equates to something like centre-right Democrats. They're pro-US.
To the right of NATIONAL is ACT (www.act.org.nz) - even better than NATIONAL and the best hope for NZ's future.
Is there anything not leftist-socialist-wrong in NZ government?
>Dr Brash is NZ's equivalent to Alan Greenspan.
Both America and NZ are controlled by the rich men of the earth. Bush pretends to be center-right but the Republicans are putting in place the policies of the Democrats and have become globalist, socialist, plutocrats in an oligarchy, trashing the constitution and rights of freemen. If you can't tax it, it regulate it!
Would this person quitting shift the vote to the right? If so how far right?
,, he's been in the job a long time and knows how to fine tune things to get whatever is desired by any administration. That he decides to resign right now, without a run out date, this close to an election (or preceived early election) under Labour's fantasyland policies is significant. That he confirms his intentions immediately to stand for NATIONAL is a direct hit to Labour at a time that couldn't be better.
It will make a lot of people ask questions and it should shift thinkers sitting on the fence to the right. It's an alarm bell, for certain.
Man, I couldnt have said it better myself! I just wish my fellow Conservatives would wake up and realize that this nation is on the wrong road and the same road as uncle billy boy had us on, but with a bit more national pride!
We are moving towards a police state and no one seeems to care.
Where does anyone at that level go? Consultancy work I suspect.
