Apparently he was thinking that as long as the priest didn't get caught, it wasn't his problem. I don't see that Cardinal Law gave any thought at all to all the children this guy molested. Makes you wonder about the cardinel's real moral values doesn't it?
No need to wonder anymore, it's pretty clear. This is a test for the American Bishops. Few will pass.
