Hey Petey, time to go back to Canada and take a job with CBC......
To: Dan from Michigan
I remember this moron having a fit because Bush wasn't doing press conferences in Washington while our country was under attack.

Yes, and Jennings is the one who said, "Let us roll."

Man, the news is sure GOOD today, huh? Now if we could just get Daschle and Hillary sent home with no taxpayer money pouring out of their greedy pockets!

"On whether he will stay or go, Brokaw told Elizabeth Jensen of the LOS ANGELES TIMES: "Give me your home phone number, and you'll be the first person I tell." Does this mean what it sounds like it means?
Was he really asking her for her phone number? What does she look like?
OTOH, maybe Brokaw only likes her because of her vendetta for John Stossel!

High school dropout Peter has priced himself out of the job market. And his pay cut won't be that painful. He will SAVE hundreds of thousands in taxes by taking this pay cut. I doubt that his life-style will know he has lost one dime. Maybe his friend Bah-wah can start a collection plate to help him out if needed.

Without getting into any details about the case on hand, I have to say that I have always been fascinated by the status of various "tv celebrities" in the USA.
They are getting 100x more money than they actually earn or deserve. What makes them so special? Any half-talented idiot could replace Brokaw or Jennings. Give him some tips, make him feel comfortable in front of the cameras and you're set. Why are the North American viewers so obsessed with TV anchors? In the rest of the world, news anchors are just ordinary employees who get no more than they actually earn. I mean, it's nice to see a familiar face on TV, but the American TV Empire has taken it too far.
What's your take on it?

'man of the people'

Oh...he'll stay. Who else would want him?

Peter Jennings would owe us...forget the minimum wage law. Once you go into negatives, it's legal again.

I don't care how they go, I just want all three of the communist at the networks to go back to Moscow or Red China. Either is fine with me. They can go to Cuba and kiss his butt down there if they like.

If ABC News has big cuts, what will happen to Beverley Lumpkin?
To: Anoy11_
Yeah, this pretentious boob called President Bush a coward. Maybe that has some small connection to his contract difficulties. I know I complained to ABC about it.
To: PJ-Comix
The news format of the network news (ABC, CBS, NBC) is obsolete and unnecessary. There is very little to learn from their programs that 24 hours cable news has not already reported in greater depth. Plus, the network news has an extremist liberal agenda, that they continue to promote.
I hope Jennings goes, followed shortly by Rather, and then Brokaw. They are all liberal shills anyway! Who can forget how they fought 'tooth and nail' for Clinton during his eight years of perfidy and traitorous behavior. Now thay have begun lusting for Gore.
