the Park Police pulled in reinforcements along our perimeters and brought in the mounted police and their magnificent horses.

Those lefties are truly a menace to normal people everywhere. Thank God for the Park Police. You could have had a (stupid) riot on your hands.

OK you don't like the idea of turning it on its door with the commies inside.

How about a double decker, commies on the bottom.

I won't give away the tactics employed by the FReepers who kept the troublemakers in line; I'll just say that it was magnificent to watch! It took me a little bit to figure out what they were doing, and then I remembered some advice my big brother gave me about dealing defensively with a gang of thugs. After that, I went to work myself trying to keep the riff-raff out.

I have to chuckle now, thinking back on the time Saturday afternoon when an angry twenty-something came rushing into the Patriot compound with his sign and his anger front and center. I jumped into his path and told him to stop and take himself and his sign back out of our rally site. He said he wasn't going anywhere, and I said, "Me neither. You're not going to start trouble here." A few other things were said, and then a shadow appeared over my right shoulder at about the same time somebody tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around and it was the tall police Captain (OK, OK... everybody's tall to me), who said to me, "I'll take it from here."
