Just reported on radio that an AMTRACK PASSENGER TRAIN has slammed into a track repair/support truck on the tracks at the Dundee Road (RTE 68) crossing.

Unknown injuries etc. at this time...monitoring...

Meanwhile, there has been complete silence on the train wreck in Florida that occurred last week. Once the NTSB arrives, it seems to get very quiet. I don't trust anybody at this time and I am doing my own profiling in my daily life. I don't like to drop by the bank and do most of that by the net. I had to go yesterday and my eyes darted all over the inside of the bank. I probably looked suspicious by being suspicious. When are the bad guys going to target the entire country's banking system? Probably after the train wrecks. SO, BASICALLY, I DON'T CARE WHAT THE TERROR COLOR IS, I AM BEING VIGILANT!

There are quite a few girls with Placenta as their name. A nurse I know has the theory that uneducated women hazily hear the word during hospital delivery and it sounds "nice".

Train strikes truck in Northbrook

	April 23, 2002 — An Amtrak train has struck a truck in northwest suburban Northbrook near Dundee Road and Western.

Glenn Beck is from Tampa Bay. You shoulda heard him during the recount-recount-recount. He's a conservative with a wacky sense of humor.

His isolated incident stuff started back during the anthrax attacks. He was at the Dubya Rally for Tax Relief in Tampa last June doing his then afternoon broadcast. It was only 110 degrees there and I'm sure he was ready to pass out as was I.

That begs the question, though. Just exactly WHAT kind of (homeland) security do we have for trains when they are in the station, pulling out, traveling along and then arriving at a given destination until the last passenger alights? How exploitable are security cracks? Everybody's mind is on buildings and aircraft these days.

None that I know of. Which is OK with me. At least once a week, we see a headline about how full of holes airport security is. Imagine them trying to watch train stations and bus terminals.

I have a better plan for security anyway. Concealed carry laws making it legal to carry a concealed firearm. I'd like to see them enacted in every state.
