Not sure why this news item was deleted.

What... the homosexual lobby is afraid the truth might come out? I can't imagine why they would be worried...
To: Notwithstanding
It's like deja vu all over again. hehe

It is no longer breaking news. Funny - I have not yet seen this on TV. It is breaking news to most people - mainly because no other media are covering it. Glad to see US Snooze is.

I'd like to bookmark this, but I don't want to bookmark nothing! Let's hope the mistaken deletion doesn't happen again. :)

Better than nothing. :)

I think that the US Snooze and World Distort might be referring to this
glaad spin, sorry, alert.

Not only is this news, but it is news of the effect that traditional values and the alternative conservative press are having: In an "action alert," the Human Rights Campaign and Gay & Lesbian Alliance call on members to counter stories that connect "homosexuality and pedophilia or charge that gay men are inclined toward sexual abuse of minors."

Washington Whispers is obviously a gossip column.
That may be true, but there's other stuff on the 'net backing up the 'gossip'.
So, if the moderator/moderatette sees this, it's not 'pulled-out-of-thin-air'.

Wait till the trails begin, seems as though the main stream media, the legends in their own minds are caught between a rock and a hard place. The love homosexauls and would do just about anything to keep from making them look like what they are, but they hate the Roman Catholic church and will do just about anything to hurt it.
Love to be a fly on the wall when barney frank and his near and dear buddy from Maine, tommy allen get togeher and place a call to their little guy in the media petey jennings.

I'm sure it's just 273 or whatever consecutive coincidences...

Does anyone know why the previous thread for this story was deleted?

The title of my original thread:
"National Gay Groups "Freaking Out" Over Coverage of Catholic Sex Scandal"
which seems to be an awfully good shorter adapation of the actual opening line of the coverage (deleted words in brackets):
"Gay groups [are] freaking out over [the progression in news] coverage of [the Roman] Catholic [Church] sex scandal" - also added the word "National" to the beginning to indicate it was not an isolated local phenomenon. Since this column covered many topics and "Father Gay" (the subtitle) did not seem very descriptive, I am disappointed you chose to just axe this thread because I actually made it easy for people to know what the thread is actually about before clicking.

The current National Review (paper edition) has a long story on this topic, which for the mainstream media seems to be taboo. The mainstream media has made no connection whatsoever between homosexuality and the sexual abuse of adolescent boys, and has instead been dragging in largely irrelevant topics such as celibacy and the ordination of women. The media make associations how and when they choose, to further their agenda, as when they linked the Enron debacle to the alleged need for "campaign finance reform." The fall of Enron had nothing to do with campaign finance abuses or political payoffs, but the media WANTED to make that connection to further their agenda, so that is how they spun the story. Similarly, priestly sexual abuse is being spun to further a married priesthood. Looking at the real story - the homosexual cabal in the Catholic priesthood - is taboo.

Curiouser and curiouser.....................muhahahaha

The mainstream media has made no connection whatsoever between homosexuality and the sexual abuse of adolescent boys, and has instead been dragging in largely irrelevant topics such as celibacy and the ordination of women. Classic case of misdirection, but this time it's a twofer: silence protects one of their pet causes, and the scandal can also be used to advance another item on their agenda.
It's a house of cards though: if GLAAD and their ilk start defending themselves on the issue, it's because they know these charges will stick. They can't be quiet, because that lets people like us define the agenda. So they'll open the can of worms all by themselves. Unfortunately, that won't work too well, either: the suspicion will have been planted, and is well-founded.
They're probably also more than a little worried about what JPII's got up his sleeve this week. He, too, may be able to turn a twofer on the U.S. church, as the duplicitous actions of the Cardinals, Archbishops, and bishops have made this scandal possible. He can perchance help to solve this problem, but more importantly use their misbehavior on this one failure as an excuse to slap them back into line more generally.
Square One indeed.
