No Catholic, regardless of rite, is allowed to remarry without an annulment (which is a declaration that the Sacramental aspect of the marriage never existed). Of course, in most instances, a civil divorce is required. But this is not to be confused with the Catholic Church granting or approving a divorce of a Sacramental marriage. The Church would, of course, approve of a civil divorce of a marriage that never existed Sacramentally-speaking, because in that case, there was never a marriage in the first place.

They seem to be more free going in the Catholic "east". That is the basis of the conversation as well as the allowance of married clergy.
