Whether the Patriots Rally for America had in attendance what some media called "a handful" or others called several hundred is irrelevant. The people who braved the elements and the warnings of violence from the anti-war groups are all to be commended. They came to the rally, listened to the inspiring and outstanding speakers, flew their flags proudly and defiantly in the face of the America-hating leftist/communist/anarchist protesters and rallied in support of the U.S. and our troops fighting the war on terrorism.
It was my impression one of goals of this event was to show support for the war on terror and our armed forces. Whether you had 10 or 10,000 people, it seems to me this was accomplished.
Some FReepers traveled great distances to attend and then volunteered to help. Every volunteer was put to work at the increasingly difficult Porta-Pottie duty, crowd control, sign replacement, stage management, sign-in, button/bumper sticker sales or spot interviews throughout the day. All help was greatly appreciated.
I especially want to thank all of our speakers, John Armor, Maria Heil, Taxman, Dave Dilegge, Joseph Farah, Paul Rodriguez, Niger Innis, Kevin Martin, Staff Sgt. Christopher D. Braman, B-1 Bob Dornan, Jennifer Carroll, Rev. Jesse Lee Petersen, Jim Parmelee, Larry Klayman and Kristinn for their outstanding efforts. Clinton's a liar deserves special recognition for a job well done. She was the Master of Ceremonies, kept the crowd enthused and smoothly transitioned from one speaker to another.
Logistics of getting around D.C. yesterday were made more difficult by the many street closings due to the anti-war, anti-American groups in multiple areas of the city. Some of our speakers were unable to get through by car and had to walk the streets of D.C. and, in some cases, go through the masses of anti-war, pro-Palestinian protesters. We were able to rearrange our program schedule and all of our speakers were able to speak at the rally. Kudos to them all!
you did GOOD!
