"I think the movement is beginning to wake up,"

I rode the Metro back and had discussions with a bunch of these "Movement" people - the ones wearing bright yellow t-shirts with "MOVEMENT" in block red letters. There were 40 of them who all car-pooled down from Maine. You know - the ones with signs that said "Why Iraq?"

They're actually quite intelligent though obviously misguided. If it weren't for the fact that our permit didn't allow debate*

, I would have preferred if we/the Police would have let some of them in. They could have learned some things.

* I guess this is because the District of Columbia is under the jurisdiction of congress and doesn't have to follow the freedom of speach provision of the Constitution. Well, we all knew that already.

You're lucky they didn't do a "movement" while you were still riding the subway with them. The a/c doesn't always work in some of those trains and their stench may have become unbearable for you. ;-)
