I'm not the one who falls asleep on the couch in the middle of a post to who or MSIT.
NO! LOL
HEY!!! I resemble that remark!!!
I'm with you, Arne. Righteous indignation. All of them.........dead or alive.
Yes, your post insulted my intelligence. I'm sure you didn't mean to.
I have a friend who is warped when it comes to that kind of weather. His wife will not let him go outside during big storms because he loves the lightening and tries to tease it down. That crazy fool put up a tower on the ranch just to "Cure the weed growth". Haha haha, I think his Dad dropped him too many times when he was a kid. That stuff scares me but just interests him. WOW, are you that bad?
"I will ask the moderator to pull any excessively long or slow loading posts with too many graphics or graphics too large."
Please explain what I have posted above. These are your phrases. A picture transfered to a computer disc becomes a graphic, as is computer text.
What causes slow loading is when a computer must draw information through numerous servers. A printed page with no attached link or URL, that has been copied and posted onto a website uses no outside servers to maintain it's presence. A picture or graphic that is stored in another website and must be brought from that website to be viewed is using other servers to reach the FR.com server. This is what causes slow loading.
When you yelled about my post of the General McArthur article, I was offended because he was a prime figure during the WWII and the Korean War. I posted it because no one else had posted anything about the General. If you look at the bottom of my post you will see I included the website where I retrieved the information from to prevent the other server interference.
So, Yes some days the Canteen does operate slower than other days but my understanding is that the Canteen is supposed to be a place where veterans can remember our history and hang around telling war stories to each other in the company of women. If you wish, I will never post again in YOUR Canteen, for fear that what I am posting might slow down your computer. Just say the word, Ma'am and I'll disappear from sight.

I will be happy to explain what you posted above. In quotes, I did not say you could never post your graphics again. Did you notice the exact words were "excessively long or slow loading posts with too many graphics or graphics too large"?
I didn't ask you to leave - that's up to you. I do ask you not to make HUGE, LONG text posts or post TOO MANY GRAPHICS in one post. We have been through this before, B4.
Slow speed depends on server speed, not the size of the graphics. Server speed varies according to server load. When you know how to control the server speeds then the world will be perfect.
You're welcome, and thanks ladyinred.
I'm afraid the media only covers what they determine to be 'news,' so I don't think we'll be seeing many pictures in the near future.......maybe September 11, 2002 will bring some memories back.
You know, they could take some of the hour after hour coverage of Robert Blake away, or even the crisis in the Catholic Church, and replace it with some reminders the attack against our freedoms. They have time......they just don't use it wisely.
We cannot forget what happened! We cannot!!
