I care for the Palestinians about as much as they have demonstrated they care for us during the Gulf War and in the aftermath of 9/11. Nonetheless, the very authoritative and well written book Body of Secrets by James Bramford on the history of the National Security Agency (NSA) proves that the Israelis are quite capable of commiting massacres. In fact his Chapter Seven entitled Blood proves that the unprovoked Israeli attack on the Liberty was definitely not a mistake but was in fact an attempt to sink it to cover up Israeli war crimes against the Egyptians in the Sinai. It appears that "our friend in Israel" and "man of peace" Ariel Sharon was involved in these war crimes (pp. 202 - 203).

Bamford and his theory have been debunked many times not least by the very same people he relies on for proof of his theory.

He spun the Liberty Incident into his book because he needed something controversial tgo get his book some attention.
