Rush and Rome are on the same time here. I mostly listen to Rome now. I still like Rush, but I have found the silly escapism of the Jim Rome show preferable to the non-stop reality of Rush. Rush deals with the real issues of the day, which is the problem.

I have been a faithful Rush listener since he debuted here in April 1990 and I still listen often. But right now reality is just too much. I need some escapist fluff that makes me laugh to break up the day. I deal with the real world from the time I wake until 11:00 am central time. I then re-enter the real world at 2:00 pm and stay until I go to sleep. The other three hours are spent on Jim Rome's silly planet.

The smackoff today was great. Glad Jeff in Richmond won. Glad Trapper never called in.

Skooz, a lot of the inside stuff flew right over my head. Nevertheless, I thought Sean in Houston was great (and shoulod have won) and Iafrate deserved second.
