You have it exactly wrong. That Ha'aretz editorializes that there was no massacre, that Amira Hass says there was no massacre, means not only that there was nothing wrong done by Israel but that every Israeli having anything to do with this action ahould probably be Sainted (if we Jews had such a thing).
