Every week, we specially honor with an extra-special rock, the representative who in our opinion has done an especially distinguished job of ignoring the will of the American people. We don't know if they've been engaged in any wrongdoing besides ignoring their voters, but this week the Stoner of the Week award goes to all the Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee. We at the Stones Throw Project, MoveOn.org, and EnoughIsEnough.org, have been joined by a group in Iowa City, Iowa called the National Mad as Hell Campaign. Welcome on board, Leslea and Steve! Here are links to their sites:
- MoveOn.org is advocating that Congress simply censure President Clinton and move on to take care of the business of running the USA. They are collecting signatures and comments and passing them on to Congress; 17,000 pages and 150,000 signatures worth. In the coming weeks they will be helping us get the word out about voting. Just DO it!
- EnoughIsEnough.org is advocating for Congress to stop messing with our rights to privacy. The Starr investigation stands to set some dangerous precedents that will negatively affect the Constitutional rights all of us currently enjoy.
- Truth In America is sponsored a rally in Washington, D.C. on October 24.
