This is what you get when you have men leading the "church", not God.
The more the words "New" and "Revised" appear in the title of a Bible translation, the worse that translation is likely to be. Translations have been going down hill for years, under the threats of the politically correct language police.
My own preferences are the Authorized Version (or King James Version), the Revised Standard Version, and the Jerusalem Bible (but NOT the New Jerusalem Bible or the New Revised Standard Version).
Zondervan has shot itself in the foot with this one.
