That, I am afraid is part of our microwave culture where we have to have all of the facts and have them right now. And, if we can't have the facts...well we'll sit around and speculate about every conceivable explanation and then some.

I am afraid is part of our microwave culture where we have to have all of the facts and have them right now. Worse, there is a subset which firmly believes "microwaved" facts are far more palatable than those obtained in a time-consuming process. They'd rather cling to the rumors generated minutes after an event than to those facts determined through careful expert thought & research. They'd rather have a Whopper than a slow-roasted steak.
