Hmmm. Don't know the area, but wonder what SOP would be for a pilot in this instance. Could he not avoid the tower, etc.?
It seems very odd to me that this could be an accident esp. at this time in history.
An SOS could mean a lot of things depending on how many people were on the plane.
Weird at the very least.
I doubt it. Hard enough to do intentionally, nearly impossible accidentally. Start up a flight simulator and try hitting a particular building, esp. at high speed - it's harder than you might expect.
