CNN just reported that the pilot did not call for help and did not respond to ATC requests. They also said authorities are investigating reports that another small plane was nearby.

If this wasn't a terrorist attack, I'll eat my hat!

Corriere della Sera is also reporting the second plane, but says its presence was authorized -- it was supposed to land after the plane that crashed into the building.

Interesting, could lend some credence to the injury/health explanation-I don't think we have an AWAC in the area so maybe the small plane wasn't tracking on military radar if it was flying low enough..
