An Italian soldier is suspended from a helicopter in order to inspect the damage to a 30-story building in
central Milan after a small plane crashed into it setting the top floors on fire April 18, 2002. The crash
into Milan's tallest building was clearly an accident and not a terror attack, a spokesman for Italy's air
safety agency said. (Stefano Rellandini/Reuters)

setting the top floors on fire, April 18, 2002. The plane smashed into Milan's tallest building killing at
least three people and injuring scores in what Italian officials said was clearly an accident, not a rerun of
Sept. 11. (Stefano Rellandini/Reuters)

Funny how that pilot's age keeps changing. That Corriere article says about him: il pilota, Luigi Fasulo di 68 anni, di cittadinanza svizzera e italiana. So they say he was 68 and had dual Swiss and Italian citizenship.

Do they have cellphones?

Did he not say that America would not know peace until all of Palestine was liberated???? What makes them think that this is an "old" tape???? Oh I would go so far to say it is a new tape .. that has been their beef for a long time ..
IMO they don't give a hoot about Palestine .. IMO is it all about Islam

I didnt mean I was going to AC, I meant I am heading out to south shore of Long Island to hit the natural breaze ( ac). My hubby commutes to NYC from Long Island daily. I am sure he will be cranky tonight. Last night he fell asleep in chair around 815.

Correction ....The guy on msnbc said a plane plowed into the skyscraper ..So now its not just a plane..Its a planedozer......
To: Bommer
This guy was a 75 year old Swiss pilot with no connections to Islam whatsoever. A place big enough for a stowaway? An Arab stowaway? Perhaps that was the connection.

Now that the frenzy and tinfoil-hat chutzpah has died down...I need to get the following out of my system:
Islam is a peaceful religion.
All cultures are equally good.
Truth is relative. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
Profiling is wrong.
GWB is Satan for not vetoing CFR.
Tommy Dasshole is your friend.
Have a nice day. I'm OK, you're OK, we're all OK.
I'm going to watch Oprah on TV now.
DEPORT ALL ARAB TERRORISTS NOW!!! (I feel much better now)

That must be the third or fourth time his age has changed.

The UA and AA pilots were in no way connected with Al Qaeda. The highjackers ( the people who flew the planes into WTC) were Al Qaeda, but the pilots (the people who were trying to get from Boston to California) were not Al Qaeda.
What DJ88 was saying is the the 75 year old pilot is not Al Qaeda, just like the UA and AA pilots were not Al Qaeda.

Do the people trapped in the elevators have phones? Corriere doesn't say: mentre molte persone sono rimaste intrappolate negli ascensori che si sono bloccati. .

How about a Piper Cheyene? Turbo prop twin, and pretty good fuel capacity.

The heat knocks you out. I have to climb a huge steep hill when I walk to my house from the train station. By the time I walk up it I am a dangerous person if it hits above 85 degrees.

CNN and FOX not airing the Al Jazeera movie today..
To: codebreaker
When did Al Jazeera air the full new video, yesterday? And this happens today.
Why does our government allow Al Jazeera to continue broadcasting? Wouldn't have to use force to knock it out -- you could just buy it up and shut it down.

Occam's Razor is a no-no here, heh.
WTC were symbols for us that got the world's attention. Crashing a plane into any building in Italy...hrmmm..what is a big symbol in Italy, that would get the attention of the world, and make a point....hrmmm...isn't there someplace around Rome that is a big symbol to many many people...oh yeah, the VATICAN! Do they waste a good-sized airplane on a 30 story concrete tower in Milan, or go for the Vatican?

If YOU were in charge, would you help the terrorists succeed, or would YOU try to deny them the result they crave.Yeah, but increasing terror "requires increasing government power". So, there's a motivation for the typical power-hungry government official to say it is a terrorist attack.

Going for the Vatican would p*** too many people off, and it would start a lot of people thinking more seriously about Mecca and Medina.
