I'm coming around to the "dead" view myself. This tape looks like a splice job intended to give the appearance to the faithful and to the West that Binny is still alive. If he really were, Al Jazeera would be playing fresh tape to whip everyone up. The remaining senior leadership must doubt they can hold the network together if they announce his "martyrdom."
Actually, the best evidence is that if you play the tape backwords at 33 1/3 rpm you can hear "Osama is dead."
To: Poohbah
Michael Rivero would never preface his claims with the modest humility of a remark like "I have long been a proponent of the theory..."

Yes the tape is a phony.
I used to work as a video tech and used a SEG (special effects generator)The tapes bg is definately chroma-keyed.
The Chroma Key process is based on the Luminance key. In a luminance key, everything in the image over (or under) a set brightness level is "keyed" out and replaced by either another image, or a color from a color generator.
This process is also known as blue-screen imaging.

Perhaps the tape is meant to mislead us into thinking that Bin Laden is dead. Once his death is proclaimed by the West he intends to reappear as if risen from the dead.

Thanks for the info. It appears the producer wanted to obscure any evidence pointing to a date of production, which probably means it wasn't produced post-December. It also must mean it wasn't produced in the mountains of the Paki frontier, but in a video studio - did Al-Qaeda's buddies in Al-Jazeera help out??

Correction:
more speculation.....he's actually working for inside a Hormel making "Potted Meat Product".
Don't eat that SPAM Son. You don't know what's in it!
To: SkiBum
I can't think of why the West would announce he's dead. That would just make Binny into a martyr in the eyes of the nutcakes who support him. Might trigger some desperation-effort terror attacks. Could trigger some action against friendly arab governments. Better that he's just not heard from again.

I stand corrected: ARMOUR not Hormel makes "Potted Meat Food Product"

You got a problem bud. I think you won your bet, but the Feds ain't gonna cough up the goods. They fear news of his death will trigger attacks and will keep the obit under wraps.
You need evidence!!

Feds will keep the news under wrapsI couldn't agree more. I think they may have hit the jackpot on one of the many DNA tests conducted on stray pieces of meat.
O'Sammy probably got waxed by a very accurate missle or bomb, red-mistified, cuisinarted and is currently in existence in rotting pieces no larger than a finger.
I was just yanking Sabertooth's fangs a little.
Nice mental picture though, Bin Laden as modern landscape art sprayed all over some Afghan mountain.
Conveniently kept alive as a perpetual bogeyman to torment Daschle.

Hey John, it happens to all of us! You are man enough to say I made a mistake.
My mistakes like that happen in the morning when my coffee level is not high enough.
Your comments would have been appropriate to many posters. TWC, however, seldom even adds his own comments in the comments section to what he is pasting to a new thread.
