As a result, I don't deal well with bars, and bars are the way many people relax and let their hair down. This has not been good for my social life at all.

Same here. I've tried several types of drinks and never liked any, plus I really have no desire to be intoxicated. That combined with not being religious means I miss two of the top venues for meeting people.

My sister, the former med student, claimed that alchohol is actually GOOD for the thought-process.

The idea goes like this: since alchohol kills brain-cells, it is important to drink on a regular basis.
"Why?", I hear you ask!

BECAUSE brain-cells are like zebras, gazelles, or anything ELSE that wanders in a herd. Only the slow, weak or OLD brain-cells will be killed off by the ravening alchohol, thus the survivors will be the faster, stronger, and more aggrressive.

SOOOOO.... people who drink tend to have a higher I.Q.! It's all a matter of "survival of the fittest"!

Of course, my sister dropped OUT of Med School.... Tia, going to find a beer
