Don't judge this administration based only on the tactics used to attempt two initiatives at one time.
In order to go after terrorists (islamists) it is necessary not to drive the surrounding states all the way into the terrorist camp,
they are after all islamic based governments and they do support islamist movements when not directly threatened.
On the other hand, in order to go after the terrorists it is necessary to show that the same terrorists that those states have supported DO threaten them.
Araft and his refusal to accept less than total victory WILL bring destruction upon his own people and WILL drive the fundamentalists in other states to increased levels of violence directed, in large part, against their governments.
Eventually a "war on terrorism" has to be won locally.
Your right and I do not mean to be so critical. I can't bring myself to feel much compassion for a leader that condones children committing suicide to fulfill his political agenda. And also: September 11th is still fresh in my mind.
These terrorist are a cocky and dangerous lot, I guess I just want them to feel the fear and hoplessness of the people I watched at the top of our Trade Center that day.
