Jenin refugees dig five survivors from rubble

JENIN REFUGEE CAMP, West Bank (Reuters) - Palestinians dug five survivors from the rubble of the shattered refugee camp in Jenin on Thursday and said they had heard others crying out for help, witnesses said.
"There were two boys, a woman and two men," he said, adding that they appeared to have suffered burns and other injuries.
"I have heard many people asking for help, but we can't do anything for them because we have no equipment," he said, as camp residents clawed through rubble with shovels and pickaxes.
Fierce fighting between Israeli troops and Palestinian gunmen eased off last weekend after the bloodiest clashes of Israel's three-week-old West Bank offensive.

In any case, this Reuters guy is merely reporting what an alleged witness SAID. He didn't see the five people pulled from the rubble with his own eyes, did he?
He didn't go to Jenin Hospital to verify the existence of the five survivors or get a report on their status, did he?
And, even though he was standing right there as the residents "clawed their way through the rubble with shovels and pickaxes", he didn't hear all those others calling out for help, did he? No, he's only reporting that this guy SAID they could hear others calling for help.
Some of these articles are truly laughable. It's what passes for journalism these days.
Damn the IDF, for this precedent-setting trend. Why, next they will even invent a term for it: "collateral damage"!
