The problem with the 'armchair' analysts here, is that they think too simply, unlike the President, who thinks with complexity, depth and nuance. He has been far ahead of the game in every instance since his Presidency began, playing the now proverbial chess while his enemies play checkers.
Libertina, I think Sullivan is on to something. The end game is Iraq. When (not if) that victory is achieved, the Middle East situation may well solve itself.
As to Hillary, she is as simple minded as some of the Bush critics around here. The only thing you have to know about her is that she is a consummate liar who's out for her own gain. When you understand that, nothing else about her is hard to figure out.

Hillary, and the Dems generally, are pi$$ing in the soup because they don't have a ladle. It's of a piece with the likes of Joe Lieberman calling for war on Araby out of one side of his mouth and no drilling in ANWR out of the other. It's all rhetoric for whatever interest group paid for the hall that day - they don't have to worry about the consequences of any particular course of action. Bush does.

As to Hillary, she is as simple minded as some of the Bush critics around here. You are mistaken, dangerously so.
She is motivated by a lust for power that ranks with Hitler and Stalin.
She may play dumb at times, speaking in double-speak that sounds idiotic to you and me, but if you read her carefully, she speaks very clearly to those who follow her.
Her audience is not us. But we will be the Main Course.
